Secretbase Astro Boy Big Scale Soft Vinyl Figure, #3 Edition, Metallic Head, Made in Japan, Unused

Secretbase re-presents Astro Boy through the language of art objects: oversized scale, simplified geometry, bold color blocking and a chrome-like head that reads across a room. This #3 edition big scale soft vinyl is unused, display-fresh and accompanied by its Secretbase-branded packaging, a shelf centerpiece that functions as sculpture.

The Piece

Big scale soft vinyl turns character culture into interior design. The #3 edition matters because these runs are collected as variants rather than simply as 'an Astro Boy': collectors track subtle differences, packaging and presentation, treating each release as a chapter in a broader design archive. An unused, clean example with branded packaging signals a piece kept correctly, important in a category where display and handling can quickly dull the finish.

Astro Boy is Japan's shorthand for friendly technology, moral futurism and an era when the future looked bright, clean and brave. Secretbase amplifies this by pushing scale upward, so the figure feels like a museum enlargement of a cultural symbol. The chrome-like head and wide eyes turn innocence into a reflective design statement; classic boots and minimal suit lines keep the silhouette legible at a distance; oversized proportions convert nostalgia into object power, a poster version of the character in three dimensions.

Soft vinyl at this scale keeps the form crisp without brittleness, holds color cleanly and carries the hand-feel collectors associate with Japanese character objects. The metallic head is where reflections and micro-marks show first, and the unused example retains its strong shine. Astro Boy is foundational to Japanese pop culture, while Secretbase belongs to a later wave in which icons are released as design editions and variants, hunted like art prints. The figure suits Astro Boy and Tezuka lineage collectors, big scale soft vinyl specialists, interior-first collectors of character sculpture and variant hunters tracking edition cues and packaging integrity.
