Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 116528NG, 18K Yellow Gold, White Mother-of-Pearl 8P Diamond Dial, Full Set

A Cosmograph Daytona 116528NG that sets the warmth of solid 18K yellow gold against the iridescence of natural white mother-of-pearl, punctuated by eight diamond hour markers. Complete with outer and inner boxes, booklets, its 2014 warranty card and a 2020 Rolex service guarantee, it is a full-set gem-set Daytona in excellent condition.

The Piece

The 116528NG stands where Rolex's sporting heritage meets its tradition of gem-set craftsmanship. Case and bracelet are entirely 18K yellow gold, a warm, sculptural setting for a white mother-of-pearl dial whose natural pattern is unique to each example, and the eight diamond markers add depth and brilliance without disturbing the dial's harmony.

The design keeps a classical balance: compact proportions, a smooth and flowing case silhouette, and organic pearl textures set against the crisp subdial layout. The chronograph recalls the Daytona's motorsport origins, here rendered with jewelry-grade refinement. Introduced in 1963, the Cosmograph Daytona evolved from racing chronograph to cultural icon, and precious-metal variants such as this one join its tool-watch roots to fine gem setting.

This example has been preserved in excellent condition, its dial, case and sapphire crystal displaying remarkable clarity, and it retains its full complement of accessories, a feature increasingly rare among gem-set Daytonas. Mother-of-pearl Daytonas with complete sets have become notably scarce.
