Evangelion Unit-01 is more than a protagonist mecha; it is the visual embodiment of rebellion, trauma and uncontrolled evolution. Its purple armor marks it as an anomaly within NERV's system; the neon green highlights suggest bio-energy, life and instability; the horned head silhouette echoes oni, demons and the wrathful guardians of Buddhist art; and the illuminated chest core reads as the soul engine where mother, memory and violence coexist.
