The Piece

Louis Vuitton's identity was forged through protective travel trunks: long before handbags, its reputation rested on rigid cases built around valuable possessions, with reinforced corners, locks, riveted edging, partitions and fitted linings. The Coffret Accessoires belongs directly to that lineage, its form organized around the belongings placed inside it so that watches, jewelry and compact accessories are separated, protected and presented with order.

The exterior is covered in Monogram Eclipse coated canvas, rendered in tonal grey and black for a more restrained interpretation of the pattern, and framed by black edging. Silver-tone corner protectors and trunk hardware contrast sharply with the dark body; reinforced corners, structured walls and a central front lock recall traditional Louis Vuitton luggage, while small metal studs punctuate the perimeter with an industrial rhythm. The effect is cooler and more contemporary than classic brown Monogram.

Opening the lid reveals a saturated deep blue interior divided into specialized compartments rather than a single cavity. Padded watch rolls occupy one section, while adjacent rectangular compartments organize jewelry, cufflinks, rings, bracelets, eyewear and other compact personal objects. Closed, it reads as a compact Louis Vuitton trunk; opened, it becomes a presentation object with the atmosphere of a private collector's cabinet, at home in a dressing room, study, wardrobe or secure storage area.
