Manga fandom, bōsōzoku swagger and yokoburi embroidery meet in this one-of-a-kind crimson shirt jacket. Its back is given over to a blonde witch with a bitten red apple, heroine of Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, while the sleeve lettering borrows the language of Weekly Shōnen Magazine serialization.
The Piece
Rendered in a rich deep crimson, wine-red tone, the garment is built on a short, cropped, military or service-style shirt jacket with a pointed collar, button front, epaulets, two flap chest pockets and long buttoned sleeves. Its center of gravity is the embroidery. The back is dominated by a large anime-style witch in a black hat with a pink bow, long blonde hair, a dark capelet or collar detail and a fitted bodice, a glossy bitten red apple held near her lips. Above her runs the stitched title 山田くんと7人の魔女 (Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches), anchoring the piece in a specific manga and anime universe.
At first glance it reads as a crimson cropped uniform shirt; then the sleeve text appears, then the crest, then the manga cues, and finally the back reveals a heroine portrait so large and lovingly executed that the garment becomes a piece of custom otaku folk art. The witch is staged almost like a manga cover or character visual, her expression, hair and styling carrying the collectible impact; the hat and bow invoke the magical-girl and witch archetype, and the bitten apple adds a fairy-tale note of desire and temptation.
The front keeps the energy focused through smaller reference embroidery: an insignia or crest-style patch, a small rising-sun-style accent patch, the script "Kyun x 2" with additional Japanese characters stitched above it, and the chest-pocket detailing. "Kyun x 2" lends a manga romance-pop tone that plays against the harder bōsōzoku framing, and the long vertical sleeve lettering borrows the visual grammar of gang jackets, custom club gear and delinquent teamwear.
The embroidery is the true value center: large-scale full-back pictorial work, multi-tone rendering of the blonde hair, careful facial shading, a glossy apple with highlight detailing, bold white title lettering, strong vertical sleeve text and crest or appliqué detailing. Whether read as yokoburi-inspired or simply as custom shishū embroidery, it belongs to the tradition of Japanese stitched statement garments whose value lies in passion, specificity and visual force. Bold without being crude, fan-driven without feeling childish, feminine in image and rebellious in attitude, it works equally as a statement top and, displayed flat or hung, as an almost framed textile illustration.
The piece is best presented as a modern or contemporary custom garment rather than a mid-century vintage item. Its manga references and fan-culture execution align with late Heisei to Reiwa-era custom Japanese fashion and the revival of interest in bōsōzoku references, otaku subculture clothing, anime fandom customization and one-off embroidered statement wear; its value comes from uniqueness, visual identity and niche collector appeal rather than age.

Lettering & Iconography
The garment draws its symbols from several worlds: the witch, with its themes of mystery, transformation, magic and feminine charisma; the apple, with associations of desire, flirtation and storybook temptation; manga serialization text tying the shirt to Japan's publishing culture; and the sleeve lettering and uniform-like structure of bōsōzoku presentation.
- Back: 山田くんと7人の魔女, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches
- Left sleeve: 週刊少年マガジン, Shūkan Shōnen Magazine (Weekly Shōnen Magazine), the famous manga magazine of serialized titles
- Right sleeve: 大ヒット連載中, literally "big hit, now being serialized", or more naturally "smash-hit series now running", echoing manga promotional rhetoric
- Front: "Kyun x 2" in Roman script beneath further Japanese characters
Sizing Guidance
The cropped, structured shirt-jacket silhouette makes body length especially important to fit. Because custom garments and Japanese sizing vary, rely on measurements rather than the tag alone; shoulder width, chest width, sleeve length, back length and hem width can be confirmed on request.
Authenticity & Care
A custom, one-of-a-kind embroidered piece: its value resides in the artwork, theme, execution and singularity rather than in label recognition. Every piece is examined and documented in Japan before dispatch and is offered with the Japonista authenticity guarantee.
