A contemporary Versace cuff with the house name in raised capitals on a chequered field, finished at each end with a sculpted Medusa head, in rich gold tone and presented in its black Versace box.

The Piece

Under Donatella Versace the house has returned again and again to its founding symbols, re-cutting the Medusa and the brand name into sharper, more graphic forms for a new generation. This cuff is a clear example: architecture rather than ornament, built around the word Versace itself.

The bangle is an open cuff with a bevelled, faceted profile. A smooth central plate carries VERSACE in raised capitals, flanked on both sides by a chequered pattern of tiny embossed squares, and each open end terminates in a small cast Medusa head. The inside is polished and stamped Versace Made in Italy.

With an inner circumference of about 17 cm it sits close on a slim to medium wrist, and the open back allows a little adjustment. It is unisex in feel: equally strong on its own, beside a steel watch, or stacked with chains.
