The Baker 26, spring-summer 2026’s thicker-soled update of the Baker, in black canvas over a bright white OG Sole, EU 44, barely worn and boxed.

The Piece

Mihara Yasuhiro trained at Tama Art University and began with footwear, which is why the shoe has always been the centre of his house. The Original Sole, modelled by hand in clay by the designer and then cast in rubber, keeps the slumped, melted contours of that first sculpture, so every pair looks as if a classic vulcanised sneaker had been left too close to the stove. The Baker takes that sole and pairs it with a plain-toe, skate-style canvas upper, and for spring-summer 2026 the house rebuilt it as the Baker 26 with a noticeably taller platform.

Reference A16FW704 is cut in black cotton canvas with tonal stitching, a padded collar, MMY flag labels on the side and tongue, and the MMY stamp moulded into the heel. The white Original Sole is crisp and clean, with the wavering contour that makes the brand recognisable at a glance, and the brown outsole carries a diamond tread with the Maison sunburst.

Of all the Mihara low-tops this is the cleanest and most versatile, a black and white sneaker that simply happens to stand on a sculpture. The extra height of the 26 sole adds presence and cushioning. EU 44 corresponds to roughly JP 29 cm; outsole length is 32 cm.
