Hank, the low-cut companion to the Peterson, in black cotton canvas on Maison Mihara Yasuhiro's melted OG sole: the easiest way to wear the designer's most recognisable idea every day.

The Piece

Mihara Yasuhiro began with shoes, designing footwear for a Japanese maker before launching his own label in the late 1990s. His OG sole, moulded to look as if it has softened and drifted from the upper, is the signature that made the brand a fixture in Tokyo and later worldwide.

The Hank takes that sole and pairs it with a low-cut canvas upper derived from the classic court shoe. Reference A05FW702 in black: heavy cotton canvas with contrast white stitching, white laces, an oversized white toe cap and the embossed MMY block at the heel. The woven MMY tag sits on the tongue and the red heel pull adds a touch of colour.

The proportions are deliberately bulky at the sole and slim through the upper, so the Hank works with straight trousers, shorts or tailoring. The tagged EU 43 corresponds to about 27.5 cm. The original box is included.
