The Teddy Neverfull MM from Louis Vuitton's 2019 winter capsule: black grained calfskin, a deep cream shearling cuff and a bouclé LV initial flanked by two fuchsia Monogram flowers.
The Piece
Louis Vuitton's Teddy capsule wrapped familiar silhouettes in shearling for the 2019 holiday season, and the Neverfull, the house's most worn tote, was its best-known canvas. Instead of coated Monogram, this version uses black grained calfskin, with Monogram canvas reserved for the slim handles, side cinch straps and piping.
The front carries a large textured LV in cream and navy bouclé, set between two fluffy pink Monogram flowers. A generous band of natural-coloured shearling turns over the open top, giving the bag its unmistakable cuffed profile.
Inside, a fuchsia lining with a zipped pocket bearing the date stamp FZ3230. The side laces cinch or relax the shape just as on the classic Neverfull. The detachable pouch that originally accompanied the bag is not included.
It is a cosy, witty take on a utilitarian tote, and it has become a seasonal favourite among collectors of Ghesquière-era novelties.

Date code, Monogram alignment, heat stamp, vachetta trim, stitching and hardware engraving are examined together and documented in Japan before dispatch.
