Junya Watanabe MAN x The North Face SS2018 Big Logo Jeans, Raw Indigo, Size L, Near Unworn

Raw indigo jeans from the Junya Watanabe MAN and The North Face SS2018 collaboration, printed down the back leg with an oversized North Face logo, near unworn with the original chain-stitched hems.

The Piece

Denim is the backbone of Junya Watanabe MAN, and the label's collaborations rarely leave a pair of jeans untouched. For SS2018 the partnership with The North Face produced a short run of five-pocket jeans that put the outdoor brand's half dome logo where nobody expected it: running vertically down the back of the left leg in a single, oversized white print.

The jeans are cut from a dark, unwashed indigo denim in 60 per cent cotton and 40 per cent nylon, a blend that keeps the deep colour and adds a little resilience. The construction is classic: five pockets, a zip fly, contrast gold stitching and a single back pocket with a small woven North Face badge. Viewed from the front they read as an ordinary pair of good Japanese jeans; from behind they are unmistakable.

The product code is WA-P401 and the jeans are made in Japan. The hems are unaltered and still carry their original factory chain stitch, and the purple collaboration hang tag remains attached.

Tagged L, they measure about 91 cm around the waist with a straight, slightly relaxed leg and a 74 cm inseam. They will suit a 34 to 36 inch waist.
