HONMA BERES MG701 3-Star Iron Set, 5 to 10, 6 Clubs, ARMRQ B49 Regular Flex

6 clubs, 5 to 10: a right-handed BERES MG701, three-star grade set on ARMRQ B49 shafts in regular flex.

The Piece

Honma’s Sakata factory makes BERES irons the slow way: forged heads, hand finishing, and ARMRQ shafts wound in-house rather than bought in. Each set carries a star grade, two stars being the entry to the line, three stars a lighter premium shaft with gold accents, four stars and above adding 24-karat gold plates and rings.

The MG701, from around 2011, is a cavity-back BERES iron with a wide sole and the ARMRQ B shaft, built for an easy launch. This set runs 5 to 10, 6 clubs in all, right-handed, on ARMRQ B49 shafts in regular flex.
