For the right-handed player: 6 BERES 2019 irons in the four-star grade, ARMRQ 42 shafts, regular flex.
The Piece
BERES is the line Honma builds at the top of its range in Sakata, Yamagata, where the heads are forged and polished by hand and the ARMRQ carbon shafts are wound in the company’s own factory. The star grade on the shaft sets the tier: two stars for the standard ARMRQ shaft, three for a lighter, higher-grade shaft with more gold on the head, four and five for 24-karat gold plates and rings.
The 2019 BERES iron followed the IS-06: a forged cavity with a thin, flexible face and the gold detailing of the line. This set runs 8 to 11 plus AW and SW, 6 clubs in all, right-handed, on ARMRQ 42 shafts in regular flex.
A four-star build, with the K24 gold ring and K24 plate that mark the top of the 2019 line.
