The Piece

Cliquetis, named for the ring of crossed blades, is among the most recognisable Hermès carrés. Gilded court swords fan out from each corner, every hilt dressed with a silk tassel, around a central cartouche.

Navy, white and gold is the colouring most people picture when they think of the design, and the one that sits most easily with a dark coat or a camel bag.
