A Gucci leather bomber in supple cognac lambskin, reference 694614 XNAPL, finished at collar, cuffs and hem with the green and red Web stripe in rib knit.
The Piece
The Web stripe began life in the 1950s as a strap borrowed from equestrian girths, and it remains Gucci’s most enduring heritage code. On this jacket it frames a classic leather flight shape, and the pairing feels both sporting and quietly luxurious.
The body is a soft, fine-grained lambskin in a warm cognac brown with a slight sheen. A rib-knit collar in the Web colours folds over the neck, a brass-toned zip runs the front, and two large flapped patch pockets with hidden hand-warmer openings sit at the hips. Leather cuff tabs close with snaps above Web rib cuffs, and the Web band reappears at the hem. Inside, a viscose lining carries an embossed leather Gucci patch, made in Italy.
The shape is a modern bomber, slightly boxy and cut to the hip, with a 58 cm chest and 49 cm shoulder.
Lambskin is the softest of the leathers Gucci uses for outerwear, and this jacket already has the relaxed feel of a piece that has been worn rather than kept in the wardrobe. With a white T-shirt and denim it is an easy, everyday leather jacket with a quiet house signature. Tagged 46 (170/88A), it fits a men’s small to medium.
