The 2022 eYe Junya Watanabe MAN x The North Face Nuptse, its baffles pieced in olive and sand patchwork for the jacket's thirtieth anniversary, near unworn.
The Piece
The North Face introduced the Nuptse in 1992, and for its thirtieth anniversary in 2022 Junya Watanabe gave it one of his characteristic patchwork reworks under the eYe Junya Watanabe MAN label. Released in limited numbers, it quickly became one of the most sought-after pieces of the collaboration.
The familiar boxy Nuptse shape, black ripstop yoke and stowable collar remain. Across the body and sleeves, however, the down baffles are pieced from olive and sand panels in an irregular grid, a quilt-like military camouflage. Inside, a black shell lining with an internal zip pocket.
Labelled The North Face Junya Watanabe MAN and eYe Junya Watanabe MAN, Comme des Garçons, made in Japan, AD2022, model WJ-J914, size M. Original tags and spare fabric are included.
Lightweight and very warm, it wears with a generous, cropped fit that suits both tailoring and sportswear.

- Near unworn with very little sign of use.
- Loft full and even; no marks seen.
- All zips and snaps working.

The labels, materials, stitching, hardware and construction are examined together and documented in Japan before dispatch; anything that cannot be confirmed is stated plainly in the description. Every piece carries the Japonista authenticity guarantee. Wash with a down-specific detergent on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low with dryer balls to restore loft.
