A Dior Men two-way pile fleece in a riot of orange, yellow, pink and slate-blue blocks, with detachable sleeves that turn the jacket into a gilet and a pink embroidered Dior oval at the chest.

The Piece

Under Kim Jones, Dior Men has regularly taken sportswear staples and rendered them in the house’s own palette, and the pile fleece is one of the most playful examples. This one, reference 513J400A0956, prints a patchwork of colour blocks into a deep, curly pile so the pattern seems to shift as the fibres move.

The shell is a thick polyester pile in orange, yellow, pink, olive and slate blue, with a high stand collar, a black zip, zipped hand pockets and a pink embroidered Dior oval logo on the chest. A small embroidered star sits at the upper back. The sleeves zip away entirely, so it wears as a jacket or as a gilet; the lining is a smooth navy cotton and viscose twill.

Size L gives a roomy, boxy fit with a dropped shoulder. As a jacket it layers over a hoodie; as a gilet it sits well over a shirt or a fine knit.

It shows soiling at the cuff ends and is offered honestly at grade B. The playful construction and the strength of the colour make it a standout piece of recent Dior sportswear.
