A recent Homme Plus coat in which a grey cotton tailored coat is wrapped in a translucent shell of black nylon tulle, so every pocket and lapel floats behind a veil.
The Piece
Homme Plus Spring/Summer 2025, attributed to the theme The Hope of Light, explored lightness and transparency through layered, see-through tailoring. This coat is a clear example of that idea.
The structure is a long single-breasted coat with notch lapels, flap pockets and button cuffs. Its collar, pocket flaps, cuffs and side panels are cut from pale grey cotton, while the body and sleeves are made from black nylon tulle laid over a fine nylon mesh lining. The result is a coat drawn in grey lines on a black haze, its construction visible from every angle.
Light enough for spring evenings, it layers over a white shirt or a black knit and moves with the wearer.
