The Chanel jacket reduced to 2.6 cm: black enamel, gilt trim, four faux pearl buttons and a CC on each pocket. Stamped 02A for Autumn 2002 and fastened with a tie-tack pin.

The Piece

The cardigan jacket is the garment Chanel is best known for, and here the studio miniaturised it as a lapel pin, the pockets picked out in gilt with a tiny CC on each.

The hammered reverse carries the Chanel stamp, and the tie-tack fitting holds firmly on a lapel, a hat or a scarf.
