Chanel Holographic Logo Barrette, Rainbow Resin, Spring 1997 (97P)

A 10 cm barrette in iridescent resin, graded from pink through yellow to blue-green, with CHANEL raised in gilt letters. From Spring 1997 (97P), and supplied in its box.

The Piece

The mid-1990s gave Chanel its most playful accessories, and this barrette is among the most colourful: translucent resin that shifts with the light, with the name moulded across it.

The gilt clasp is stamped and spring-loaded, and holds a thick twist of hair.

Condition

• Very good condition, with a slight white mark near the clasp and no other notable damage.
