A composed piece of Japanese-inspired streetwear, this Uruwashi zip hoodie blends the quiet elegance of sumi-e ink painting with traditional wagara pattern. Cherry blossoms and swallows drift across a soft blue ground, like a painting scroll translated into modern wear.
The Piece
The design captures early spring in Japan: blossoms carried on the air while swallows cross a quiet sky. A restrained palette of deep indigo ink tones, soft pink sakura, black brush-style silhouettes and white highlights makes the hoodie read as a wearable landscape rather than a loud graphic.
The back carries the main statement: a large circular floral composition with a dark, crest-like ornamental motif, sakura branches spreading outward, two swallows in flight and a vertical calligraphy-style marking, balanced in the manner of Japanese decorative painting. The front stays understated, with sakura branches climbing one side, flying swallows, minimal ink-style bird silhouettes and small decorative marks.
Inside, the hood is lined in dark navy fabric printed with a repeating traditional floral and wave-inspired pattern, a hidden detail that lends the piece a premium textile character. It appears to be a contemporary piece, part of the modern movement that brings traditional Japanese motifs into everyday streetwear.
