The cobalt colourway of a cult Pleats Please model: an illustrated crowd of pop-art women on the front, and a clean royal blue back with a small funnel neck.
The Piece
Some Pleats Please styles were issued with more than one solid back colour, and collectors often chase each variant. This sleeveless column carries the same front artwork as its neon green sibling, a busy illustrated scene of women's faces, hearts, gestures and handwritten slogans, set against a vivid royal blue for the back, collar and side panels. The style code places it in the early 2010s.
The cut is long, narrow and vertical: mock neck, cut-in shoulders, a straight body and short side vents. The blue is a deep, glossy cobalt that reads almost electric in daylight, and it frames the print like a picture mount.
It sits close to the body and stretches comfortably, ending below the knee or at the calf depending on height. Black boots or white trainers both suit it.
