An all-black Blakey low from spring-summer 2026, set on a grey-washed, puffed original sole that the designer sculpted by hand in clay.
The Piece
Mihara Yasuhiro's original sole is one of the most recognisable shapes in contemporary footwear. Each version starts as a clay model shaped by the designer, giving the wavering, melted midsole its almost organic look. The Blakey applies it to a shell-toe court low.
The spring-summer 2026 Blakey adds extra volume to the sole and a brushed finish to the upper that lets the leather show its natural texture. This black on black pair has a matte black upper and heel tab with white MMY lettering, the stitched MMY Blakey box logo on the side, and thick black flat laces. The rubber shell toe and sidewall are washed in smoky grey so they appear aged, and the herringbone outsole carries the house stamp. Each pair varies slightly in its finish.
EU 42 equals JP 26.5 cm and approximately US men's 9. The black colourway is the easiest to wear daily, with black denim or tailored wide trousers.
