Vivienne Sakura gives Louis Vuitton's playful house character one of Japan's most poetic seasonal motifs. Produced in 2018, the unused GI0382 sets white and pale-pink blossoms on brown Monogram petals around a powder-pink face, balancing the Maison's identity with spring florals and a quieter decorative palette.

The Piece

Vivienne is recognizable by a flower-shaped head derived from the Monogram floral motif, and here that silhouette becomes especially effective. Each rounded petal around the minimalist face carries cherry blossoms, turning the figure into a stylized hanami flower. The layering runs from the soft pink face to brown Monogram canvas, white and pale-pink blossoms and fresh green foliage, with gold-tone facial hardware and small red and gold accents at the arms, playful without becoming noisy.

Built from wood with Monogram canvas applications, the piece has more presence than a plush or resin character figure. The wood gives structural solidity, while the canvas-covered petals tie the sculpture to Louis Vuitton's leather-goods vocabulary, and small gold-tone hardware elements act as jewelry-like accents against the matte pink and brown surfaces.
