Pochette Accessoires M92193 de Louis Vuitton × Stephen Sprouse, grafiti melocotón sobre monograma, 2001

Sprouse’s handwriting over the Monogram itself: LOUIS VUITTON lettered in peach across brown canvas, on the little shoulder pochette that became the bag of the early 2000s.

The Piece

For the 2001 collection Stephen Sprouse painted the house name over the Monogram canvas by hand, then the lettering was printed so that the pattern beneath still shows through. The peach colourway on brown is the original, the one most associated with the collaboration.

The Pochette Accessoires is a slim zipped pouch with a detachable natural leather strap, worn on the shoulder or carried as a clutch. The underside carries the word ACCESSOIRES in the same hand. Brass hardware, a canvas-lined interior, date code AR0041.

Measured: width 21.5 cm (8.5 in), height 13 cm (5.1 in), depth 3.5 cm (1.4 in).

Condition

• Graded AB in Japan, with honest use: rubbing to the print and corners, light soiling, a fine crack at the base of a D-ring and a slightly curled tab.
• The strap has darkened, with creasing, marks and some peeling; the edge of the zip tape shows slight fraying; light plating wear; a pen mark inside near the tag.
• Everything noted is shown in the photographs.

Authenticity & Care

Date code, Monogram alignment, heat stamp, vachetta trim, stitching and hardware engraving are examined together and documented in Japan before dispatch. Every piece carries the Japonista authenticity guarantee. Store it stuffed with acid-free paper in a dust bag, away from direct sun and damp, and keep the natural leather trim dry.
