Speedy Bandoulière 25 M14174 de Louis Vuitton × Takashi Murakami, reedición del Monogram Cherry Blossom

The Cherry Blossom motif returns on the Speedy Bandoulière 25, M14174, from Louis Vuitton's re-edition of its Takashi Murakami collaboration. Murakami's blossoms scatter across the Monogram like a field rather than a pattern, and this example is unused and storage-held, complete with charm, strap, lock, keys and proof.

The Piece

Cherry Blossom is one of the most commercially and culturally successful motifs of the Louis Vuitton × Takashi Murakami collaboration, and one of Murakami's most psychologically effective visual systems. It merges innocence with luxury and nostalgia with precise branding; when Louis Vuitton revived it, the house did not simply reissue a product but reactivated a memory. The motif speaks at once to nostalgia for 2000s Louis Vuitton, to a gentle, approachable softness, and to instant recognizability even at a distance.

The blossom overlay disrupts the rigidity of the Monogram canvas with a soft, almost naive visual language that contrasts deliberately with the discipline of the structure beneath: the canvas acts as a rigid grid, and the blossoms break it, luxury structure meeting pop entropy. The Speedy's continuous curvature lets the flowers scatter like a field rather than sit as a pattern, so the bag reads less as an object than as an environment. The 25 is compact enough for daily use yet large enough to display the pattern clearly, giving Murakami's motif the surface area it needs without dilution.

Where the early-2000s pieces were widely distributed and often heavily worn, the re-edition is controlled and cleaner, and examples kept unused with a complete accessory suite remain comparatively limited. The detachable cherry blossom charm is more than an accessory, a removable narrative fragment of the motif, and its presence keeps this set whole.

The bag is built in Monogram canvas with the cherry blossom overlay, cowhide leather trim and a microfiber lining, with gold-tone hardware, a padlock and a dual-zip closure. Twin rolled handles provide hand carrying, and the detachable strap, with a fixed drop of approximately 44 cm, allows shoulder wear.
