An oversized white denim trucker from Louis Vuitton, sprayed in a teal and ink gradient with Monogram flowers drifting through the colour like stencilled graffiti.
The Piece
Louis Vuitton's menswear studio has long treated denim as a canvas, and the LV Spray jacket shows the idea at its simplest. White denim is sprayed with a teal-to-ink gradient, as if with an aerosol, and small Monogram flowers and LV initials float through the mist in white, giving the effect of street art on a classic garment.
The cut is an oversized trucker with a pointed collar, two flapped chest pockets with LV buttons, welt hand pockets, button cuffs and side waist tabs. Contrast tobacco topstitching outlines every seam, and a tan suede-effect patch stamped with Monogram flowers and a metal LV sits at the back waist. Inside, a polyester and cotton lining. Made in Italy.
Size 48 is cut wide through the shoulder and short in the body, the way the house intends, so it sits boxy and relaxed. Over a white T-shirt and dark trousers it looks fresh in spring and summer.
