Louis Vuitton GI0267 caja de música Vivienne, mini baúl de lona Monogram con interior rosa y espejo, 2018

The Vivienne Music Box GI0267 turns Louis Vuitton's Monogram trunk language into a miniature mechanical treasure. Its lid opens on a pale pink interior where Vivienne, the house's flower-shaped mascot, stands at the heart of a music-box composition; this 2018 example is near unused, with its storage bag.

The Piece

The exterior is wrapped in classic brown Monogram canvas and finished with gold-tone trunk hardware, corner protectors and a central lock plate. Opening the hinged lid shifts the atmosphere entirely: the brown-and-gold exterior gives way to a pale pink interior, a jewel-box setting for the central Vivienne figure, and a rectangular mirror inside the lid shows the character from several viewpoints. Monogram canvas, warm metal, pink lining and the bright red figure give the piece a theatrical quality, playful without losing the architectural vocabulary of the house's historic trunk-making.

Vivienne, one of Louis Vuitton's most recognizable house characters, reinterprets the Monogram flower as a three-dimensional mascot. Here she appears in a red floral form with contrasting details as the central sculptural element. Rather than serving as exterior decoration, she is revealed only when the trunk is opened, which gives the object the quality of a miniature stage.

The piece combines decorative trunk construction with a mechanical music-box format. The tall rectangular body is structured vertically, so that the mechanism and the Vivienne figure occupy the central display space while a small open compartment remains below, and the mirrored lid deepens the interior and enhances the figure's movement when displayed open. Its scale is intimate, yet the detailing gives it the presence of a much larger Louis Vuitton objet.

Louis Vuitton's history is rooted in trunks and cases designed around specific objects, a tradition that expanded from luggage into pieces made for jewelry, games, watches, writing instruments, decorative objects and personal collections. The Vivienne Music Box brings that tradition to miniature scale, where edges become frames, the lock becomes a focal point, hardware becomes ornament and the act of opening is part of the experience. It is at once a miniature trunk, a mechanical decorative object, a Vivienne collectible, a Monogram display piece and a conversation object, unbound by seasonal wear or sizing.

Its compact dimensions suit a cabinet, dressing room, library, desk or dedicated Louis Vuitton collection, and it settles easily into luxury-object collections, trunk and Vivienne character displays, watch and jewelry rooms, executive desks, fashion libraries and design-focused interiors without the footprint of a full-size trunk, while the opening mechanism and hidden figure reward closer inspection.
