Levi’s Big E Type II Denim Jacket, 1950s–60s, Evenly Stitched V, Back Stamp 17

A Big E Type II denim jacket with evenly stitched V pockets, a stamped 17 on the back of the buttons and a deep blue colour.

The Piece

The red tab is the capital-letter Big E, and both pocket flaps carry the same even V stitch. A stamped 17 is found on the reverse of the buttons.

The denim holds a rich, deep blue with whiskering at the hips and soft fading along the seams.
