The Junya Watanabe MAN and Levi's hybrid of Spring/Summer 2025 in size S: a faded trucker front joined to a black fleece sweatshirt, complete with its original spare denim patch.
The Piece
Junya Watanabe MAN and Levi's have worked together for more than fifteen years, and the collaboration has become a laboratory for what a denim jacket can be. Watanabe treats the Type III trucker as raw material, cutting genuine Levi's denim into new arrangements and joining it to cloth from entirely different wardrobes.
Model WO-J206, with an AD2024 label for the Spring/Summer 2025 season, joins a pale, sun-faded Levi's trucker front to a black cotton and polyester fleece body. Black panels sweep over the shoulders, the denim sleeves are pieced in two shades of indigo, and the back is almost entirely fleece with a strip of denim at the collar. Raw edges are left to fray at the sleeve seams and hem, where the black rib cuffs and waistband show beneath the denim like the layers of a worn-in outfit.
This example comes with the small Junya Watanabe MAN bag holding a spare piece of denim for repairs, a thoughtful extra that is often lost. The red Levi's tab sits beside the Junya Watanabe MAN name on the neck label.
In size S it has a relaxed, dropped-shoulder shape that fits a smaller frame comfortably and layers over a shirt or thin hoodie.
