The Levi’s trucker reworked by Junya Watanabe MAN for spring-summer 2025, rebuilt from contrasting washes of indigo denim with raw edges, inset panels and an oversized cut.
The Piece
No collaboration is more central to Junya Watanabe MAN than Levi’s. Each season the trucker jacket returns in a new form, and the spring-summer 2025 version takes a customising approach, as though several jackets had been taken apart and pieced together by hand.
Panels in lighter and darker washes run down the front and back, and frayed raw-edge seams cross the chest, yoke and sleeves. The familiar trucker features stay in place: a point collar, button front with Levi’s shank buttons, chest pocket flaps and button cuffs, with the red Levi’s tab. The back is cut broad, with a faded central panel that frames the shoulders.
Product code WO-J207, dated AD2024 on the care label and made in Japan in 100% cotton denim, with the red Junya Watanabe MAN and Levi’s neck label. The cut is generously oversized and dropped at the shoulder; a tagged M fits a large frame.
A good everyday jacket that also captures the current direction of the line.
