A right-handed BERES IS-05 set from Honma’s Sakata works, 7 clubs with ARMRQ∞ 53 4S shafts in stiff-regular flex in the four-star grade.
The Piece
Honma’s Sakata factory makes BERES irons the slow way: forged heads, hand finishing, and ARMRQ shafts wound in-house rather than bought in. Each set carries a star grade, two stars being the entry to the line, three stars a lighter premium shaft with gold accents, four stars and above adding 24-karat gold plates and rings.
The IS-05 of 2016 brought a slimmer top line and a slot-sole face to the BERES line, built for distance with a high flight. This set runs 6 to 11 plus AW, 7 clubs in all, right-handed, on ARMRQ∞ 53 4S shafts in stiff-regular flex.
Both the four-star plates and the socket rings carry the K24 stamp, which makes this one of the scarcer IS-05 builds.
