5 clubs of Japanese gold, left-handed: BERES 2024, three-star grade on ARMRQ FX 3S shafts in stiff-regular flex.
The Piece
Honma’s Sakata factory makes BERES irons the slow way: forged heads, hand finishing, and ARMRQ shafts wound in-house rather than bought in. Each set carries a star grade, two stars being the entry to the line, three stars a lighter premium shaft with gold accents, four stars and above adding 24-karat gold plates and rings.
The 2024 BERES iron is the current forged cavity design, with a thin face, a wide sole and the ARMRQ FX shaft introduced with it. This set runs 7 to 11, 5 clubs in all, left-handed, on ARMRQ FX 3S shafts in stiff-regular flex.
