Blusón reversible Cheval Punk Bandana de Hermès, de nailon y algodón, multicolor verde, talla 46 de hombre

Cheval for the horse, bandana for the outlaw: in this reversible blouson Hermès views frontier rebellion through its own equestrian heritage. Built from a nylon and cotton composite, with a green-based bandana motif on one face and tonal restraint on the other, it is a men's size 46 graded rank A.

The Piece

The Cheval Punk Bandana designation merges the house's equestrian origin with the symbolism of Western rebellion: Hermès referencing its own horse heritage through the visual language of frontier subculture. Bandana iconography carries layered references to Western outlaw mythology, American frontier imagery, punk-era defiance and street identity, and the bomber silhouette itself comes from military aviation. Hermès absorbs these narratives and reframes them with luxury precision, an aristocratic observation of street culture rather than streetwear.

The garment is not pure nylon but a nylon and cotton composite. Cotton adds surface tactility, print depth, breathability and weight balance, softening the rigidity of a nylon shell and improving drape. Fully reversible construction adds dual-facing seam finishing, concealed stitching, rib tension balanced in both orientations and pattern alignment across both surfaces, so the graphic side carries symbolic intensity while the reverse offers tonal restraint.

From the late 2000s onward luxury houses increasingly drew on subcultural references; some leaned fully into streetwear, while Hermès introduced graphic experiment sparingly, often tied to seasonal storytelling. The bandana motif marks a crossover from American outlaw symbolism to high-fashion reinterpretation, reading graphic at a distance and composed in execution. In a broader archive the piece balances equestrian restraint against graphic boldness, and it stands as Western luxury's measured response to Japanese graphic outerwear, where prints, symbolism and subcultural codes dominate the surface.
