A Strap You that moves: the edge ripples like a ribbon in water, with red suede and lilac leather stripes running the whole length.

The Piece

Fendi introduced Strap You in 2016 as a strap to clip onto any bag and change its character. The wave versions are among the most graphic of the series, the strap cut to an undulating line so it lies like a ribbon on the shoulder.

Here the face is striped in red suede and lilac leather, edged in fine contrast stitching; the reverse is smooth black leather stamped FENDI ROMA. Silver-tone swivel clasps engraved FENDI clip to any pair of rings.

About 90 cm (35.4 in) long and 4.2 cm (1.7 in) wide.

Condition

• Unused, with its tags, graded S in Japan.
• A little colour transfer along one side edge, shown in the photographs, and light marks from storage.

Authenticity & Care

Heat stamp, edge paint, stitching, the engraving on the clasps and the construction of the ends are examined together and documented in Japan before dispatch. Every piece carries the Japonista authenticity guarantee. Store it flat or loosely coiled in its pouch, away from direct sun, and keep the clasps from resting against the leather.
