Enfants Riches Déprimés SS2024 Arcane 17 Leather Zip-Up Jacket with Chain-Stitch Embroidery, Black, Size M

The Piece

Henri Alexander Levy has built Enfants Riches Déprimés into the most literary of the Paris luxury punk labels: tiny runs, deliberately distressed finishing and garment names lifted from poems, novels and art history. Spring-summer 2024, shown at the Oratoire du Louvre, followed a lost romantic wandering through Europe and set black-and-white tailoring and leather against sacred and rebellious imagery. The name of this jacket, Arcane 17, is borrowed from André Breton’s 1944 book, and the embroidery reads like a page from a surrealist sketchbook.

The jacket is cut from soft black cowhide in a short, blouson-like shape, with a point collar, a full front zip running on an ERD-engraved silver-tone pull, and an elasticated, shirred waistband at the back. White chain-stitch embroidery spells ERD 79.2 down the left chest, wraps a small drawing marked PARIS around the lower right front, and covers the back with a large figurative scene. The lining is black viscose, with the Enfants Riches Déprimés and Printemps/Été 2024 labels at the neck.

It wears slightly cropped with a relaxed body and full sleeves, so it sits well over a T-shirt or a light knit. The leather is supple rather than stiff and already has the lived-in softness that ERD aims for.

Embroidered leather is among the scarcest categories in the label’s output, and pieces from 2024 seldom resurface in clean, complete form.
