Sukajan reversible CUNE, calavera de conejo, revólveres cruzados y rosas, satén rosa y negro, talla única

Soft pink satin collides with black humor, Western tattoo imagery and CUNE’s eccentric rabbit universe. One face carries a rabbit-eared skull framed by crossed revolvers and roses; the other turns into a black-and-ivory bomber with oversized CUNE lettering. Cute, macabre and defiantly playful.

The Piece

This reversible Japanese sukajan from the fashion brand CUNE presents two dramatically different personalities. Unlike reversible jackets with a plain lining, both faces are designed to be worn publicly: playful gothic pink on one side, monochrome Japanese streetwear on the other.

The pink face is the visual centerpiece. A large silver-white skull with upright rabbit ears dominates the back, outlined in heavy black embroidery, with two Western-style revolvers crossed behind it and deep red roses, green leaves and trailing stems around it. The words CUNE JAPAN are embroidered beneath the composition. Kawaii rabbit imagery, punk and gothic skull symbolism, American Western revolvers, traditional tattoo-style roses and glossy souvenir-jacket construction all meet here. The pink satin body is paired with ivory sleeves and striped pink, cream and green rib-knit trim, the green accent giving the colorway a candy-shop sharpness without softening its darker imagery.

On the front of the pink face, two mirrored rabbit-skull emblems are embroidered in pale silver thread with bold black outlines, readable from a distance; one chest also carries subtle CUNE TOKYO JAPAN lettering. Slanted welt pockets, a central metal zipper and striped ribbing preserve the traditional sukajan bomber silhouette.

The reverse changes the jacket from tattoo-inspired maximalism into bold graphic streetwear. The body becomes deep black satin with contrasting ivory sleeves, black shoulder panels and gray, cream and black striped trim. A large embroidered CUNE logo covers the back, its letters arranged in a compact stacked composition around a bright pink diamond-shaped center, followed by CUNE TOKYO JAPAN. The front is comparatively minimal, with a silver CUNE wordmark on one chest, a cleaner, varsity-inspired side that is easier to coordinate while keeping strong branding.

The jacket appears consistent with Japanese designer streetwear from the later twentieth or early twenty-first century rather than an original postwar military souvenir jacket. Its oversized graphic branding, ironic rabbit-skull artwork, tattoo-inspired imagery and reversible construction place it within the modern Japanese reinterpretation of classic sukajan culture. The exact rabbit skull, revolver and rose composition is considerably less common than standard dragon, tiger or eagle sukajan motifs, which gives the piece stronger appeal for collectors of unusual Japanese streetwear: wearable art with humor, edge and immediate visual identity.

Motif Meanings

CUNE’s rabbit is transformed here into a skull, preserving the brand’s playful silhouette while introducing a darker punk sensibility: the long ears keep it recognizable as a rabbit, while the hollow eyes and simplified bone structure carry the punch of tattoo flash, band graphics and underground streetwear.

Roses traditionally suggest beauty, passion and fragility; paired with the skull they set life against mortality and sweetness against danger, and their saturated crimson gives the pale pink ground a dramatic focal accent. The crossed Western revolvers bring Americana and outlaw imagery into the souvenir-jacket format, presented as decorative tattoo-style symbols rather than realistic equipment, completing the jacket’s theatrical blend of cowboy, punk and kawaii.
