A sukajan in a different cloth: Cropped Heads’ short black corduroy jacket, with “Japan” in white script over a skull, a blue serpent, orange chrysanthemums and a spider’s web on the back.
The Piece
Cropped Heads is a Japanese label known for its souvenir jackets and its work with manga and biker culture. Here the embroidery of a satin sukajan moves onto a fine black needlecord work jacket: two silver skulls on the chest, the full tattoo-flash composition on the back.
The jacket has a shirt collar, a zip front, button-tab hem adjusters and a quilted black lining, with the red Cropped Heads label inside.
Size M, cut short. Measured flat: shoulder 45 cm (17.7 in), chest 50 cm (19.7 in), sleeve 61 cm (24 in), length 61 cm (24 in).
