The Piece

The bag keeps the curved architecture that made the Saddle one of Dior's most recognizable silhouettes: a curved lower body paired with an asymmetric flap and an elongated upper strap section, at once sculptural and functional. The broad top extension and side strap construction make this version feel slightly more utilitarian than the classic women's Saddle handbag, letting it cross into a broader styling space as shoulder bag, body bag, compact crossbody-style bag, editorial archival piece or unisex fashion accessory.

The Dior monogram is woven into the canvas rather than presented as a loud contrasting print. Up close the repeating motif is obvious; from a distance, or in lower light, it recedes into a dark tonal texture, while bright light brings the branding forward. Black leather trim reinforces the edges and structural points and emphasizes the curved body and flap, the matching black shoulder strap extends the monochrome design, and dark hardware keeps the whole composition cohesive.
