Broche vintage romboidal de Chanel, medallón CC en tono dorado martillado, 48 mm

A diamond of hammered gilt with a round CC medallion at its heart: a vintage Chanel brooch from the house’s 1990s metalwork years.

The Piece

The lozenge is cast with a softly hammered, light-catching surface and bevelled edges; at the centre, a raised disc carries the interlocking CC in relief within a rope border. The back is textured gilt with a roll-over safety pin.

Measures 48 × 40 mm (1.9 × 1.6 in). Made in France; with the Chanel box.

Condition

• Graded AB in Japan: a vintage piece with light marks and small rubs.
• Some plating loss on the CC medallion, shown in the photographs; the lozenge itself is bright.
• Pin and catch secure.
