Coco herself, 35 mm tall: Chanel’s Mademoiselle doll brooch from Autumn 2005, a jointed figure in a hat and jacket, in champagne gold tone with crystal details and a tiny CC. One of the most collected figural pieces of the 2000s, with its box.

The Piece

The Mademoiselle figure appeared on bags, charms and brooches around 2005, a playful portrait of the founder in her signature suit, pearls and boater. The brooch version is the most finely made, with articulated limbs and crystals set into the jacket.

It is tiny and witty on a lapel, and it has become one of the pieces collectors look for first when assembling a Chanel novelty collection.
