A long gold-tone chain carrying a black enamel plate lettered CHANEL and, beside it, a small CC. Spring 2024, near unused, with the box; the necklace that reads as a dog tag until the light catches the gilt.

The Piece

The 24P collection reworked the house name as a nameplate, in the manner of the pendants worn on the Paris streets around the rue Cambon. The enamel is deep black and the lettering is reversed out in gold.

At 80 to 86.5 cm the chain falls to the waist over a shirt or can be doubled to the collarbone. The curb links are fine and the whole piece is light.
