Broche de Chanel con placa del logotipo, cuero negro con letras en tono dorado y marco cosido, primavera de 2023 (A23S), con caja

A luggage tag turned into a jewel: a plaque of black leather framed in gold tone with saddle stitching cast into the metal and CHANEL in raised gilt letters. Spring 2023, scarcely worn, with its box and pouch.

The Piece

Virginie Viard’s recent seasons have played with the house’s travel heritage, and this brooch borrows from the leather nameplates on Chanel trunks and totes. The stitched frame is rendered in metal, so the piece is far more durable than it looks.

At 56 mm wide it anchors a lapel or the collar of a coat, and it works equally well on a bag strap.
