A gilt roller skate rolling on four faux pearls, its laces picked out in crystal, swinging from a CC stud. From Chanel’s Cruise 2024 show, unused and still in the box: the novelty earring of the season.
The Piece
The 2024 Cruise collection was shown in Los Angeles and borrowed from Venice Beach, where the roller skate became its emblem. The earring translates it into the house materials of gilt, pearl and crystal.
The skates hang about 42 mm from the lobe and move as the wearer does. Pierced, with post and butterfly backs, and never worn.
