Reference 26320OR.OO.D002CR.01 gives the Royal Oak Chronograph a warmer, more formal character: a 41mm 18K pink-gold case, a black Grande Tapisserie dial and a black leather strap. It keeps the muscular octagonal geometry yet wears with more restraint than the full-bracelet version, moving easily between tailored and contemporary dress.

The Piece

The original Royal Oak established that a luxury watch could take architecture associated with industrial construction as its identity. The Chronograph introduces mechanical complexity into that geometry without disturbing its essential proportions: the octagonal bezel stays dominant, the integrated shoulders unmistakable, the exposed screws visible. The 26320 integrates its registers within the Grande Tapisserie surface so that the watch reads as a Royal Oak first and a chronograph second. The reference comes from the period when the Royal Oak Chronograph grew from its earlier 39mm proportions into the 41mm format introduced in 2012, one of the defining generations before the later 26331 series.

The black Grande Tapisserie dial gives depth and texture while letting the pink-gold furniture stand clearly against it. Three recessed chronograph registers in a balanced tri-compax-style arrangement carry pink-gold surrounds and matching hands; applied pink-gold baton indexes and Royal Oak hands, the applied AP emblem and Audemars Piguet signature in the upper dial, and a discreet date aperture between four and five o'clock complete a composition at once sporty and formal.

Pink gold softens the industrial character of the case without erasing it. Broad brushed surfaces preserve the architectural identity, polished bevels catch light along the edges of case and bezel, and the octagonal bezel is secured by eight exposed white-metal hexagonal screws. At approximately 41mm in diameter and 10.8mm thick, the case has real wrist presence while remaining relatively slim for an automatic chronograph. The pushers sit above and below the crown on the right side, continuing the angular geometry of the case.

Inside is the automatic Audemars Piguet Calibre 2385, used extensively across the Royal Oak Chronograph family: 37 jewels, approximately 21,600 vibrations per hour and approximately 40 hours of power reserve, driving hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph and date. Its relatively slim architecture lets the case keep elegant proportions. The black leather strap visually extends the dial and leaves the pink-gold case as the central object, closed by an Audemars Piguet 18K pink-gold folding clasp. The configuration is more complicated than the three-hand Royal Oak, more restrained than many Offshore references and substantially less ostentatious than the full pink-gold bracelet execution.
