Marni: A Milan House of 1994
Consuelo Castiglioni founded Marni in Milan in 1994 and left the company in 2016, the year Francesco Risso was appointed creative director. OTB, the group led by Renzo Rosso, took a majority stake in 2012 and full ownership by 2015. In July 2025 Meryll Rogge was announced as Risso’s successor. The house is dated in the Encyclopedia.
Pieces join the collection as the archive grows, each with its season, size and condition written into the description. The season on the inside tag is usually the surest way to date a garment.
