Founded by Sk8thing, Cav Empt emerged from Japanese street culture but rejected its usual markers—logos, hype cycles, and nostalgia. Instead, the brand adopted the visual language of post-internet life: system warnings, corrupted graphics, surveillance imagery, and cryptic typography.

Cav Empt’s cultural importance lies in abstraction. The garments function as semiotic objects rather than fashion statements. Symbols are rarely explained.
