hisashi-eguchi-x-takashi-murakami-famicom-silkscreen-dual
Hisashi Eguchi × Takashi Murakami "Famicom" Silkscreen, Dual-Signed Edition of 100, Kaikai Kiki

Hisashi Eguchi's poised, clean-lined figure meets Takashi Murakami's endlessly repeating Superflat flowers in this collaborative silkscreen. A Famicom console anchors the image in shared memories of Japanese home life and early gaming, and the print is signed by both artists within an edition of 100.

The Piece

The composition places a refined, character-driven figure within a densely populated floral field, contrasting Eguchi's controlled line work with Murakami's expansive repetition. Neither voice dominates: the work is a shared space between two distinct artistic languages, at once intimate and expansive.

The central figure carries Eguchi's signature restraint, with clean lines, controlled expression and subtle posture. Behind her, Murakami's flowers stretch on without end, so that a single human presence is suspended within a field of symbolic repetition.

The Famicom, Nintendo's home console that shaped a generation of Japanese childhoods, grounds the image in a specific generational memory. It quietly connects gaming history, youth identity and contemporary art, turning the print into a cultural document as much as an image.

Issued through Kaikai Kiki in an edition of 100, a tighter run than many Murakami prints, and bearing both artists' signatures, the work sits at the intersection of illustration, pop culture and contemporary fine art.

Details

Artists: Hisashi Eguchi × Takashi Murakami

Title: Famicom

Origin: Kaikai Kiki distribution

Medium: Silkscreen print

Edition: Limited edition of 100

Signature: Hand-signed by both artists (edition-signed)

Visual language: Eguchi's clean, feminine illustration layered over Murakami's Superflat floral field

Condition

Japonista grade S · Unworn or as new, complete with original packaging.

New and unused, as stated; presumed well preserved.

Authenticity & Care

Silkscreen from Kaikai Kiki distribution, hand-signed by both Hisashi Eguchi and Takashi Murakami within the edition of 100.
