takashi-murakami-kodama-kun-print-limited-100-rare-character-artwork
Impresión del personaje "Kodama-kun" de Takashi Murakami, pigmento de archivo y serigrafía, edición de 100, sin abrir

Away from the crowded stage of Murakami's flowers, Kodama-kun appears quietly, a childlike figure with wings and staff who seems caught between worlds. This archival pigment and silkscreen print in an edition of 100 remains in its original unopened shipment state, a chapter of the artist's character universe rather than a headline.

The Piece

Kodama-kun departs from Murakami's widely recognized floral motifs to present a singular figure of narrative depth and symbolic ambiguity. Suspended between innocence and transformation, the character carries elements of fantasy, wings, a staff and symbolic objects that feel like artifacts from a story never fully told, and the composition suggests movement, as if captured mid-transition. It is narrative frozen in a single frame.

Where the Murakami Flowers series leans into repetition, pattern and surface joy, works such as this expand the universe into something more dimensional, with character design handled with the same precision as the iconic motifs. The language is anime-inspired yet disciplined by composition and printmaking: a structured, subdued background grid anchors the image almost like a digital coordinate system, while the figure floats freely against it, structure set against freedom.

The combination of archival pigment printing and silkscreen layering produces a surface both crisp and dimensional. Colors sit with deliberate intensity, lines remain razor sharp, and the layering creates a tactile presence that digital reproduction cannot fully replicate, a reminder of Murakami's exacting mastery of production.

Character-specific and limited to 100, the print appeals to collectors who move deeper into Murakami's ecosystem in search of works that suggest continuity and hidden structure beneath the surface joy.

Details

Artist: Takashi Murakami

Title: Kodama-kun

Series: Murakami Flowers / character expansion universe

Medium: Archival pigment print and silkscreen

Measurements: Image 400 × 400 mm · Sheet 500 × 500 mm

Edition: Limited to 100

Provenance: Tonari no Zingaro, official release channel

Condition

Japonista grade S · Unworn or as new, complete with original packaging.

Unopened, in original shipment state.

Authenticity & Care

Released through Tonari no Zingaro, the official channel, and kept unopened in its original shipment state; edition limited to 100.
