The shell is a light, fluid blend of bamboo and silk, printed front and back in a patchwork of pink, red, turquoise and cream panels: flaming sacred hearts, praying hands, birds, lettering and a large botanical cross on the back. Across the front the print is lifted by hand-applied glass beads, sequins and stitched outlines, most densely around the central heart at the neck.
