Here are some photos during the first half of our 3-day trip in Kyoto.
Realization: 3 days aren’t enough for Kyoto sightseeing!
Beautiful and arresting architecture of Kyoto Station. Very welcoming!
The view from the top.
Train stations in Japan are very complex, in a good way. There’s like another world inside the train stations here!
Kyoto Station, specifically, has numerous restaurants and shops underground. Information centers and shopping malls are within the vicinity too.
First temple we visited.
On our way to the Kyoto Imperial Palace..
We biked to the top for Ginkakuji!
Breathtaking zen gardens!
These are all world cultural heritage sites.
Write your wishes, home, and dreams…
Strolling around Kyoto while the sun’s going down..
These are the “Geisha” houses. Notice those slanted bamboos installed in front of the wooden gates.
Those were put there so that ninjas (back then) wouldn’t be able to climb and eavesdrop.
